The sensitive environmental setting and intricate hillside grading design made this project particularly challenging for the developer and MDS Consulting. The project also involved the preservation or relocation of over 200 oak trees. Landform grading and natural earth retention systems were employed to minimize the impact of the grading on surrounding natural areas and the oak trees.

The project also involved the design and development of regional infrastructure facilities including a storm water retention facility, debris basins and water reservoirs. MDS assisted in the formation of a Community Facilities District to fund these facilities.
